About Artist:

Sridhar Ramasami was born in India, studied and worked in the US and now lives in China. By education, he was an enginner but is now a self-taught artist. After working in the corporate world for many years as a high-paid programmer he found that the materialism and the sterility of modern life was eating away at his soul. One day he woke up, looked at his apartment full of stuff and realized that it was not him. He was doing it to fit in.

The emptiness he felt led him to complete a 10 month, 5000 mile hike of the Eastern Continental Trail, that runs from Cap de Gaspe, Canada to Key West USA. It was a turning point in his life. After the hike he decided to expand his horizons and live and paint professionally in China - a country and culture he had always been fascinated with.

Wonder, Magic and mystery
Are not history.
Heroes tall, surround us all.
